Equilibrium

After the Third World War, the leader who survived founded an absolute police state. People are obliged to take Prozium(liquid medicine which restrain their emotion), and books, pictures, and music are prohibited because the state thought "the feeling" is the origin of war. Preston, a man trained to locate and arrest offenders, holds the rank of "Grammaton Cleric First Class", which means he is a master of 'Gun Kata'(this is a kind of martial art). One day he could not take Prozium, and he notices the feeling gradually...

This is one of my favorite action movies. The original title is "Equilibrium" and Japanese title is "Rebellion". These titles have opposite meaning, but both express this movie very well.
Most of people think "Equilibrium" is a B movie, and I agree with that because there are many movies like this scenarios in B movies. But the action scene is much more exciting than others! The scene of 'Gun Kata' is the highlight of this movie. 'Gun Kata' is a fictitious martial art, and is a combination of Oriental martial arts and two handguns. Using this, while attacking enemies, the person also can protect himself. Also, I think Christian Bale, an actor who played Preston, is a great actor. His acting is easy to understand how Preston feels then, so I could be absorbed in the story more.
If the person who like action movies has never seen it, I'd like to recommend this movie!
