Fantastic Four

Marvel Comics' first family of superherodom, the Fantastic Four, hits the big screen in a light-hearted and funny adventure. It begins when down-on-his-luck genius Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd, Horatio Hornblower) has to enlist the financial and intellectual help from former schoolmate and rival Victor Von Doom (Julian McMahon, Nip/Tuck) in order to pursue outer-space research into human DNA. Also on the trip are Reed's best friend, Ben Grimm (Michael Chiklis, The Shield); his former lover, Sue Storm (Jessica Alba, Dark Angel, Sin City), who's now Doom's employee and love interest; and her hotshot-pilot brother, Johnny Storm (Chris Evans, Cellular). Things don't go as planned, of course, and the quartet becomes blessed--or is it cursed?--with superhuman powers: flexibility, brute strength, invisibility and projecting force fields, and bursting into flame. Meanwhile, Doom himself is undergoing a transformation.

I love the movie which is based on American comic like MARVEL, and most of them have one hero in each movies. But this movie has four heroes! They each have different super power and fight against a villain in cooperation.
However before they could cooperate each other, they often quarreled among themselves. Johnny wanted to stand out because he is hero, but the other thought they should not attract people's attention. This problem is very realistic despite an imoractical world, but it's interesting.
If you can use super power, how would you think?
In my case I would want to stand out but probably hide. That's because I am shy!!!X(

Van Helsing

Gabriel Van Helsing(HUGH JACKMAN) is a man cursed with a past he cannot recall and driven by a mission he cannot deny. Charged by a secret organization to seek out and defeat evil the world over, his efforts to rid the world of its nightmarish creatures have been rewarded with the title that now follows him: murderer. Van Helsing roams the globe an outcast, a fugitive,a loner, himself hunted by those who don't understand the true nature of calling. When dispatched to the shadowy world of Transylvania, Van Helsing finds a land still mired in its past where legendary creatures of darkness come to life a place ruled over by the evil, seductive and undefeatable vampire, Count Dracula(RICHARD ROXBURGH) and it is Dracula that Van Helsing has been sent to terminate..

This movie is based on the Abraham Van Helsing, a character from 'Dracula' written by Bram Stoker. In the novel Van Helsing is just a professor, but in the movie he is an immortal hero!!
Actually there are not many action scenes. But I like it because it is easy to understand the story, and I love the fashion and atmosphere of this time. The costumes of characters are really cute!!! Also, some famous creatures or people appeared. For instance, Mr.Hyde, Frankenstein,
and Count Dracula, of course. They have a powerful personality, so I couldn't forget even though their scenes were short.
The other reason that I like this movie is the actor, Hugh Jackman. I've liked him very much since I watched the movie 'Kate & Leopold.' When I watched him, I was surprised because he is really so cool and his acting was very good!!!!!:)
I think you can enjoy it easily.
So if you have a time, please watch this movie!!

The Boondock Saints

Fraternal twins Connor and Murphy MacMannus are on a mission from God to rid Boston of crime. However, instead of signing up for the police force, these hard-drinking Irish-American brothers take the law into their own hands a la Charles Bronson in DEATH WISH. Heralded as saints by the city's beleaguered residents, the brothers also attract the attention of Paul Smecker, the openly gay FBI special agent assigned to investigate the spate of killings amongst the ranks of the Russian mafia.

I want to see this movie any number of times, and I convinced that I never lose interest in this one. That is because this is the most interesting movie for me!
The main scene which MacMannus brothers appealed to the criminals and law in a court was very forceful, and I think a theme of this movie is similar to death penalty because the end of the movie showed the interview that killing offenders is good or bad. I think this is very difficult problem, and this movie made me think deeply about that. And because the brothers are not HERO, their mission was not carry out smoothly, so I think it makes mission scenes more real.
Without difficult points, it has also some funny scenes. Before accomplishing the mission, Connor and Murphy told jokes each other. Also, most of the scenes which their common friend, Rocco, appeared were very funny! But I think the scene that Smecker infiltrated enemy territory was the funniest one. I don't want to write the reason, so please watch this movie!
